✨ They offer emotional support to those nursing their dying loved ones.

✨ They keep vigil when there is nobody else or when the family need a break.

✨ They work towards creating a death positive landscape, to normalise death and therefore reduce the fear and trauma surrounding it.

✨ They use breathing and relaxation techniques to soothe the person at end of life, and to help their loved ones.

✨ They use energy healing, music and scents to help the dying in their transition.

✨ They use sacred silence to support the process.

✨ They work in hospice, in hospitals, and in the community.

✨ They help to facilitate connection between the dying and their loved ones.

Part of being a Soul Doula is encouraging and facilitating conversation around the subject of death and dying.

I’m passionate about empowering people to think about their end of life, and to make plans accordingly.

Many of us spend our whole life planning things down to the last detail - the best mortgage deal or cheapest energy supplier or the exact timings of our wedding day. However, many people actively avoid considering their end of life choices and/or wishes.

For many of us, the end of life feels far away, but I believe that this is the ideal time for death planning. It becomes so much harder when we wait until we’re staring the death in the face.

If we don’t think about it at all, we run the risk of losing the little control we have, and possibly making things more difficult for our loved ones.

With THE PLAN, you’ll be gently guided to consider factors that you may otherwise have overlooked. Like a birth plan, it might go completely out of the window when the time comes, but it may also make decision making a little easier further down the line.

I can support you through the process if you feel that a guide is useful, or you can contact me to receive a copy of THE PLAN to work through by yourself or with a family member.

If you’re not ready to do a full plan, but want to dip your toe in, consider starting with this free ‘Preparing for Death’ Workbook
